Quikpoint TURBO Electric Mortar Pointing / Repointing Gun

Quikpoint is the original patented electric mortar pointing gun. Available as an attachment or an assembled system, the drill-driven Quikpoint Mortar Pointing Gun will deliver cement or lime mortars, self-mixed or bagged, in a controlled and consistent manner. Compared to hand-operated skeleton guns, also known as mastic guns and grout guns, the Quikpoint process will usually be many times faster and more likely to achieve full joint filling. Time taken to load or charge the Quikpoint mortar hopper is significantly less than with mastic guns and the Quikpoint mortar gun requires none of the repetitive

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What drill can I use with the Quikpoint TURBO attachment

A wide range of small rotary drills, mains or cordless. For the best guidance, see Quikpoint Drill Fitment History in our PDF Library at top of this webpage

  • What mortars can I use with the Quikpoint TURBO

Most well-mixed cement or limed-based mortars with a reasonable proportion of grit or ‘sharp’ sand. Widely used with Heritage Mortars.

  • Will the Quikpoint TURBO clog

Not if the mortar is properly mixed – 9 times out of 10, clogging or mix separation is due to a poorly combined mortar. Use a ‘proper’ mixer and all will be well - use a drill and paddle only where water is being added to a ‘bagged’ mortar.

  • How much will a Quikpoint TURBO point in a day

So many variables to consider, but here’s two measures – a competent user will easily be 3 times more productive with the Quikpoint than jointing by hand AND 20 square metres of regular brickwork, pointed to a depth of 20 mm, is well within the reach of any committed user, on a regular day.

  • Can I buy a Quikpoint with the drill already fitted

Yes. 110 or 240 volt electric OR Makita and DeWalt cordless, with or without the batteries and charger - see the various packaged options above

  • What makes the Quikpoint stand out

Proven concept – largely unchanged since launch in 1991.
Low pressure auger feed eliminates risk of clogging and mix separation.
    Delivery controllable by drill trigger
Easy to fill, use and clean

  • How long will a Quikpoint TURBO auger last

Hard to predict as mortar abrasiveness can vary so much. We have been supplying Quikpoints for more than 20 years – people comment upon how productive they are when using the Quikpoint – hardly anyone queries the cost of an auger, once they have used the tool.
