Often referred to as Bush Hammering, this process is applicable to a wide range of hard construction materials, notably concrete, sandstone, limestone, marble, granite and cement-based alternatives. Profiled rollers or reels deliver a wide range of surface finishes which in turn support many uses for the tools.
We offer two handheld systems. ABU-90 products are designed for less arduous applications such as texturing vertical or overhead surfaces and improving slip-resistance on steps and platform edges. The heavier ABU-150 is designed for use on horizontal surfaces, typically for paint and coatings removal or more aggressive keying. With both types, the rollers or reels are supported within machined steel carriers by high quality bearings and complimentary seals, ensuring smooth operation and maximum operating life. ABU-90 tools use a roller and carrier combination appropriate to less intensive work. ABU-150 carriers feature larger bearings and rollers to address the increased demands of a tool used on horizontal surfaces, hence the likelihood of greater pressure being applied.
Attention must be given to user comfort and protection. Anti-vibration gloves are highly recommended and careful management of usage cycles is important to ensure operation within HAV guidelines. Both systems have provision for attachment of a dust extractor or vacuum.
